Newcastle Aquatic Physiotherapy is a busy, bright and cheerful private health business that has been operating since 2007. Providing personalised care, we believe we are the best hydrotherapy facility in the Hunter Region. Our team help hundreds of people manage the effects of illness, accidents, disability and the stresses and strains of everyday life through Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy and on-site fully equipped gym.

 

We provide care to a wide range of clients experiencing diverse challenges from sports injury through to joint replacement, stroke, chronic pain management and rehabilitation. We are registered with Fitness Australia and recognised by many health funds as a fitness facility.

 

We have a team of over 15 employees who are united in their dedication to providing the best rehabilitation in a first class, state of the art facility. We’re seeking a passionate and skilled Physiotherapist to join our clinic, committed to delivering exceptional patient care. In this role, you’ll apply your clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and manage patients' conditions with professionalism, compassion, and evidence-based practice. You’ll be supported to continually develop your skills and will contribute to the growth and learning of the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

​

  • Provide high-quality Physiotherapy services to help clients achieve their treatment goals.

  • Build strong, caring relationships with patients through thorough assessments and collaborative management plans.

  • Implement safe and appropriate treatment strategies, including hydrotherapy where indicated.

  • Work closely with our team and other health professionals to optimise patient outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and assist with patient management processes.

  • Support preventative care initiatives and nurture client engagement in their treatment journey.

  • Deliver exercise classes tailored to client needs, both in the pool and on land.

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, committed to ongoing learning, and dedicated to acting in the best interest of our patients and our clinic.

  

This is a full-time position of 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We offer above award remuneration commensurate with your qualifications, skills and experience.

 

About You

​

You have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for what you do and the difference you can make to peoples’ lives. You are keen to network, continuously develop your knowledge and experience and collaborate with your colleagues.  You are used to working in a busy clinic and working with a diverse range of clients.

 

The Musts

​

  • You must be a degree qualified and AHPRA approved Physiotherapist

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to develop positive connections with others

  • A customer first approach and the ability to show genuine empathy and care

  • A valid Driving Licence and own vehicle

  • Medicare Provider Number or a willingness to obtain

  • SIRA Provider Number or a willingness to obtain

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification

  • Good understanding of Medicare and HICAPS processing

  • Previous experience using Cliniko is highly desirable

  • Proficient with MS SharePoint
