Newcastle Aquatic Physiotherapy is a busy, bright and cheerful private health business that has been operating since 2007. Providing personalised care, we believe we are the best hydrotherapy facility in the Hunter Region. Our team help hundreds of people manage the effects of illness, accidents, disability and the stresses and strains of everyday life through Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy and on-site fully equipped gym.

 

We provide care to a wide range of clients experiencing diverse challenges from sports injury through to joint replacement, stroke, chronic pain management and rehabilitation. We are registered with Fitness Australia and recognised by many health funds as a fitness facility.

 

We have a team of over 15 employees who are united in their dedication to providing the best rehabilitation in a first class, state of the art facility. About the Role

​

Our Clinic offers professional long-term team of physiotherapists who are looking to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to providing the best rehabilitation. We currently provide Physiotherapy services to a range of clients both in and out of the hydrotherapy pool, and are hoping that this opportunity for expansion will improve the care we can provide for our clients.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for clients

• Provide individual therapy using evidence-based practices

• Collaborate with an interprofessional team of clinicians to ensure holistic, client-centred care

• Maintain detailed case notes and contribute to the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of client progress

• Assist with the development and delivery of psychoeducation workshops for clients

• Follow practice policies and procedures and the Psychology Code of Ethics​

 

This is a full-time position with flexible hours, Monday to Friday. We offer above award remuneration commensurate with your qualifications, skills and experience.

The Musts

​

• Degree Qualified and current registration with AHPRA

• Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to develop positive connections with others 

• A customer first approach and the ability to show genuine empathy and care
